'Reading a book is like re-writing it for yourself. You bring to a novel, anything you read, all your experience of the world. You bring your history and you read it in your own terms.'- Angela Carter

REVIEW: Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them - J. K. Rowling

Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them - J. K. Rowling
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (Harry Potter Companion Books, #1)
A copy of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them resides on almost every wizarding household in the country. Now, for a limited period only, Muggles too have the chance to discover where the Quintaped lives, what the Puffskein eats, and why it is best not to leave milk out for a Knarl.

Proceeds from the sale of this book will go to improving and saving the lives of children around the world, which means that the dollars and Galleons you exchange for it will do magic beyond the powers of any wizard. If you feel that this is insufficient reason to part with your money, I can only hope most sincerely that passing wizards feel more charitable if they ever see you being attacked by a Manticore.

-Albus Dumbledore
Awww I really enjoyed this little book! Thanks so much to Ula at Blog of Erised for this brilliant birthday present. I just need Quidditch Through The Ages now and I'll be a very happy Potterhead. This is going to be a short but sweet review. I enjoyed once again reading work by my idol, J. K. Rowling, and I loved having even more insight into this world that she has created. The little annotations by Harry and Ron made me laugh out loud and gave me a little nostalgia for the days when I used to write notes like that in books!

I think the thing I loved most was how in depth the detail of each of these creatures are. Reading this book has increased my excitement further for the next film! I always feel absolutely dumbfounded when I realise how well Rowling knows this wizarding world that she has created. I can't believe it's so in depth and I can't imagine a day where I will get sick of reading about the world of Harry Potter. A brilliant little add on to the series, I can't recommend this little book enough!

QTtA is also a good, very detailed book, and I think that one has notes from the duo as well. :D Hilarious!
